There are no bad students, but poor teaching methods…
To encourage our students to learn Chinese in a fun way, I have been using all sorts of games I could find and think of.
At yesterday’s classes, we played Chinese whisper. We divided students in two teams—team 1 and team 2, they wrote out the most tricky words, phrases on cards from the text book they have learnt for other team to whisper.
Then, I called the first member from each team to the front and showed her/him one by one the words/phrases on different cards, she/he whispered to the second member in the team….the last member from the team wrote out what she/he heard on the whiteboard.
